Torso Critical Hits

Critical hits to the torso (and abdomen) are complicated by the presence of significant internal vital organs. Cutter and Piercer weapons have the capability to directly penetrate the body and damage these organs. Basher weapons may drive skeletal components into them. The loss or damage of these organs can make diagnosing and curing critical torso damage very difficult.

TORSO CRITICAL HIT TABLE:
CUTTER AND PIERCER WEAPON TYPES

Roll Location Description
1-60 Lung roll l/r, Reduce Combat, Strength, Constitution, Dexterity and Vigor to 1/2 current level until healed. Character Fatigue/Stamina level reduced to zero in 20 seconds of continued combat.
61-65 Solar Plexus Very Light Weapons treat as a miscellaneous hit, all other weapons cause an automatic stun for 1d4 X 100/Constitution seconds.
66-75 Kidney roll l/r, damage applied to Body at 2X actual, Reduce Constitution to 1/2 current level until healed. This organ will heal in a weakened state, subtract 1d2 points from Constitution permanently. The loss of both kidneys will result in death in Constitution/2 days.
76-80 Spleen automatic Arterial Bleeding, Reduce Strength to 1/2 current level until healed. This organ will heal in a weakened state, subtract one (1) point from Strength permanently.
81-85 Groin Males suffer uncontrollable instant shock, drop their weapons and fall to their knees for 100/Constitution seconds. Determine the percentage destroyed, over 60% indicates sterilization. Such wounds have a 50% chance of becoming infected.
Females suffer a 1d2 X 100/Constitution second stun. Determine the percentage destroyed, over 75% indicates sterilization. Such wounds have a 60% chance of becoming infected.
86-90 Heart damage applied to Body at 20X actual, automatic stun for 100/Constitution seconds. Arterial bleeding is automatic. This organ will heal in a severely weakened state, reduce Constitution to 1/2 current levels permanently and subtract one point from Strength permanently.
91-00 Miscellaneous chance of 100/Constitution sec. stun is equal to damage divided by Body.

TORSO CRITICAL HIT TABLE:
BASHER WEAPON TYPES

Roll Location Description
1-3 Four Ribs Break Broken Ribs may puncture internal organs. Roll percentile dice for each rib.
01-02 the Heart has been punctured
03-15 a lung has been punctured
Treat each puncture as a critical Piercer hit to that organ with damage equal to 1/4 the damage roll (see previous table).
Reduce Carrying Capacity by 25% per rib until healed
4-18 Three Ribs Break
19-50 Two Ribs Break
51-70 One Rib Break
71-75 Sternum, stun for 1d6 X 100/Constitution seconds.
76-80 Groin Males suffer uncontrollable instant shock, drop their weapons and fall to their knees for 100/Constitution seconds. Determine the percentage destroyed, over 60% indicates sterilization. Such wounds have a 35% chance of becoming infected.
Females suffer a 1d2 X 100/Constitution second stun. Determine the percentage destroyed, over 75% indicates sterilization. Such wounds have a 40% chance of becoming infected.
81-00 Miscellaneous chance of 100/Constitution second stun is equal to damage divided by Body.
